FYSIK Gym Equipment Featured in Hollywood’s Red One movie

In mid 2022, we received an unexpected email from a product placement company, asking if we’d be interested in lending some of our gym equipment to a movie production. As discussions progressed, we realized this wasn’t just any project—it was an action-packed, star-studded family holiday movie called Red One, featuring Santa Claus lifting weights in a one-of-a-kind gym environment.
FYSIK’s Hollywood Debut
We’re thrilled to have been chosen as the gym equipment provider for Red One, starring Hollywood heavyweights Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and JK Simmons. Nearly our entire product line — LOMM™, NAK™, YAI™, DOD™, GLING™, vertical combo tower, horizontal kettlebell rack, NANG™, KHUN™, and KLOM™ — was selected to fill the unique gym space created for Santa Claus himself.
Creating a "Different World" of Gym Equipment
Our role in designing the gym scene was to craft equipment that felt otherworldly — a far cry from traditional gym aesthetics. The aim was to create a workout space that matched Santa’s magical presence. One of the standout requests came directly from The Rock himself: a barbell rack with oversized weight plates as a centerpiece in the Red One gym scene. At that time, our barbell stand and plates were still in the design phase, but we fast-tracked the design and production process to meet the challenge, and made it just in time for the shipping deadline. Now our KHUN™ barbell stand and KLOM™ weight plates are a part of our product collection, only with a special and memorable origin story.
Craftsmanship Meets Cinematic Style
For this film, we chose a combination of walnut wood and a matte, dark brown leather along with the stainless steel to achieve a classic, timeless look that complements both the magic of the movie and the characteristics of FYSIK’s brand. Every piece was made at our workshop in Bangkok, Thailand where we are dedicated to create bespoke gym equipment that enhances not only fitness and health of the user but also the aesthetic of the spaces they inhabit.
